Annette and Peter’s wedding was a little different to what we normally photograph and we absolutely loved it. Surrounded by only their closest family and friends, and unbeknown to almost everyone else, Annette and Peter were married at a registry office. What they wanted was a relaxed fun afternoon celebrating with their nearest and dearest. We were there to capture the fun starting with the short ceremony at the registry and finishing with location photos afterwards.
We absolutely loved the opportunity to photograph something a little out of left field and Annette and Peter had plenty of ideas to get us started.
Even though the ceremony was short, there was no hiding the love and happiness that they shared and we felt very honoured to be able to be there to witness two families being brought together with both Annette and Peter having grown boys. Once the certificate had been signed (and the complimentary pen received!) we took over the waiting area of the registry much to the amusement and confusion of waiting customers! We then headed to Fort Scratchley where Peter had organised for it to be kept open just for us, it definitely pays to know people. The Moet flowed as we relaxed and captured some beautiful shots as the sun went down.
Before the bride wand groom headed off for margaritas Annette and Peter had a couple of 'must have' shots they wanted, complete with a reproduction of the famous Beatles Abby Road shot with Peter and the boys.
This definitely has to rate as one of our most fun and quirky weddings and we loved that we were able to not only capture the love that Annette and Peter share but to allow our creative minds a bit of freedom too.
Don’t forget we are always open to your ideas and we love our clients getting involved creatively so don’t hesitate to come to us with anything, we’d be more than happy to sit down, have a chat and organise a package for you.
We hope you enjoy the photos.
